Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and veteran Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha, has issued a clarification on his tweet related to Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan's decision to suspend 25 Cong MPs for parliamentary disruption.

"Feel unhappy about the developments in the Parliament and the expulsion of 25 learned MP friends," Sinha tweeted earlier today.

Hours later, Sinha offered a clarification on his tweet, explaining that he was not challenging the authority of the speaker in any manner and was only expressing his opinion.

"Sincere request. Please don't go overboard in reaction to what I have tweeted. I have only expressed my sadness that things have come to such a pass that the honorable and respected Speaker had to take such a strong decision," he tweeted.

Sinha also said that "feeling sad or happy about anything is not anti-party activity."

Earlier today, the former union minister also said that only he was in a position to praise Bihar's duly elected Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

He tweeted, "Bihar ke neta aur CM jo ke elected neta unki tareef bihari babu nahi karega to kaun karega." (He is Bihar's leader and a chief minister who has been elected. So, if this ' Bihari Babu' won't praise him, who will?"

In his tweet, the actor-politician said he was touched by Nitish's compliment "in calling me the pride of Bihar".
