American multinational entertainment company, Netflix, recently confirmed speculations that Sigourney Weaver would be appearing in the much awaited Marvel action series 'The Defenders.'
The official Twitter handle for 'The Defenders' recently tweeted a video of 'The Defenders' complete cast treating the fans with special appearance at the recent New York Comic Con.
The 67-year-old American actress and producer will join the Marvel and Netflix's upcoming team up project that will combine characters from Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.
Although her role is not known yet, the short video clip shows the 'Avatar' star making guest appearance along with co-stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones.
The caption under the clip read, "Our heroes in the same place for the very first time. But they're not alone..." and has-tagged #TheDefenders #MarvelNYCC.
Netflix also reportedly unveiled the first full trailer from its upcoming series, 'Iron Fist', which stars English actor Finn Jones as the Marvel martial arts master.

The 'Defenders' is a set of fictional superhero groups with fluctuating membership appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
The Netflix series premieres in March next year.
