Sim Bhullar visits Golden Temple on his 'Bharat Darshan' tour

Canada-born basketball player Sim Bhullar visited Amritsar and paid obeisance at the Golden Temple on Tuesday.

The last time Sim Bhullar visited India was at the age of 14, to attend a wedding. However, this time he is on a week-long Bharat Darshan to promote basketball in the country.

Bhullar, who was born in Toronto to Indian-origin parents, has played two seasons at New Mexico State and averages 10.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.8 blocks in Reno's fast-paced system.

Last month, he created history when he played for Sacramento Kings in their win against the Minnesota Timberwolves, becoming the first player of India origin in the NBA.

 

At 7 feet 5 inches, he is the sixth tallest player in the NBA history.
