Disney characters namely Simba, Bambi and Timon among others were recently pictured as skinned and bleeding for an anti-fur campaign.
Saint Hoax, an anonymous artist based in the Middle East, drew the "shocking" series of drawings called "Furry Tale Gone Bad to highlight the fate of animals killed in the name of fashion, the Independent reported.
Each picture displays the message: "Animals are beaten, electrocuted or even skinned alive for their fur. Boycott fur."
The features characters also include the Lion King, Bambi, 101 Dalmatians and Aladdin.
Saint Hoax said that he hoped the spread of the images will make people think twice about buying real fur over the winter and reduce the demand leading to animals' deaths.
