Simon Cowell is reportedly on a secret list of 102 individuals, finance companies and law firms, who have used the services of rogue investigators
The investigators were jailed for obtaining information about people's bank -accounts, medical histories and credit cards.
The Police are desperate to keep the list hidden, but the influential Commons Home Affairs Committee has threatened to publish it, the Daily Star reported.
However, detectives have said that being on the list, which has been drawn up by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca), does not imply any wrong doing.
A source close to Cowell has revealed that all this fuss is about nothing as there is no suggestion that he done anything wrong.
