Simon Cowell will reportedly be playing the part of a hound in a movie starring Britain's Got Talent winner Pudsey.

The 53-year old music mogul will play one of Pudsey's four-legged pals, while fellow judge David Walliams will voice the lead character, the Daily Star reported.

Sources revealed that the Syco boss may be playing the role of the pooch's cocker spaniel friend called Sam, who may be in the movie.

Sources added that Cowell and Walliams "had such great chemistry and banter on Britain's Got Talent that it makes sense to get them together for the movie".

'Pudsey: The Movie', in which the cross-breed dancing dog, who won the ITV talent show last year with owner Ashleigh Butler, plays a stray who gets taken in by a family, is already in production and is being filmed in the UK.
