Romanian tennis ace Simona Halep had to reportedly undergo a breast reduction surgery when she was a teenager as she could not play properly due to the 'weight' of the breasts.
In 2009, at the age of 17, the Romanian opted to undergo a breast reduction, taking her from a 34DD to a 34C, following which she rocketed up the world rankings to No. 4 in the world.
According to News.com.au, Halep said that she had a poor ability to react quickly as her breasts made her uncomfortable with their weight, adding that she would have gone for a surgery even if she had not been a sportswoman.
The 22-year-old Halep will take on Spain's Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor in the French Open third round as she continues her push towards a breakthrough Grand Slam crown, the report added.
