It is not even a year since his death, Sam Simon's financial legacy is in trouble as his girlfriend and wife want his estate.
'The Simpsons' co-creator's girlfriend Kate Porter has filed a claim against his estate, alleging he promised he'd take care of her after his death, reports E! Online.
Porter, who describes herself in legal documents as Simon's partner for the last 3 years of his life, says that he promised to leave her 5 million dollars tax free in his will if she agreed to 'refrain from continuing to work.'
Accepting the deal, she was by his side until March 8, 2015, the day he passed away, but Simon did not make Kate a beneficiary in his will.
On the other hand, Simon's wife Jennifer Tilly claims in separate legal document that her 1993 divorce judgment guarantees her an ongoing community property interest in 'The Simpsons' and other Simon projects.
