After asserting that her online feud with Miley Cyrus is over, Irish singer-songwriter Sinead O'Connor has now claimed that Simon Cowell has "murdered music."

During an interview on Ireland's 'The Late Late Show', the 46-year-old singer said that she feels sorry for the murder of music and rock 'n' roll, E! Online reported.

O'Connor asserted that music was killed by people like music mogul Simon Cowell and TV music judge Louis Walsh.

She claimed that the power of rock 'n' roll to change things and to move people, is being murdered by fame, and shows like Pop Idol, X Factor.

O'Connor added that the songs have become all about the visuals, the pyrotechnics, the sexy bodies and this saddens her.
