Sir Paul Cartney, who is being treated for a viral infection in a Japanese hospital, is expected to make a full recovery and is scheduled to resume his ongoing world tour in three weeks' time.
Perri Cohen, the spokeswoman for the 71-year-old former Beatle, who was taken sick during the Asian leg of his world tour, said that the singer's medical treatment had been successful and he will be back on his feet after a few days of rest, Sky News reported.
He had been really touched by all the well wishes he has received from his fans, she added.
Sir Paul, who had to pull the plug on four shows in Japan and one in Seoul, South Korea, is now scheduled to perform in Lubbock, Texas, on June 14.
