Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) would be formed to probe the Morena incident in which a head constable was killed.
"I had called a high-level meeting this morning over the Morena incident in which a brave policeman lost his life. We have decided to form a SIT for investigation of this matter. The SIT for this case will be formed today and will submit its report in 15 days," he said.
Chouhan promised to provide a sum of Rs. one lakh to the kin of the deceased on behalf of the government.
"A sum of one lakh will be provided to the kin of the deceased on behalf of the government and besides providing ten lakhs separately," he said.
The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister also promised free education for the children of the deceased.

Head constable Dharmendra Singh Chouhan died after an alleged sand mafia's truck ran over him yesterday.
He was reportedly heading a police team to catch the accused of a robbery.
