Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has informed Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh that all accused in a murder incident in Kannur on August 17 have been arrested and produced before the court.
In a letter to the Union Home Minister, Chandy also assured all accused in the latest murder case of social activist Manoj on September 1, 2014 would soon be brought to book.
The Kerala Chief Minister further said the state police would restore peace in the district at the earliest. He said the law and order in the district is normal presently.
The Union Home Minister had a telephonic conversation with the Kerala Chief Minister earlier on September 2 and expressed concern over the killings of political and social activists in the state. He had asked Chandy to take strict action to stop such political killings.
