Six die as fire breaks out in Pune bakery shop

At least six people died after fire broke out in a bakery shop in Pune's Kondhwa area on Friday morning.

The untoward incident took place the in wee hours when the workers were asleep.

Fire tenders reached the spot and rescue operation is underway.

"As soon as the shutter was opened, we saw a huge fire inside and got information that there were bakery workers who were trapped inside the shop," a fire officer said, adding that the fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse out the flames.
