At least six people were killed by a U.S. drone strike on a militant compound in North Waziristan on Sunday.
Pakistani media quoted officials, as saying that the attack took place in Shawal, about 55 kilometers west of Miranshah, North Waziristan's main town.
In all four missiles were fired into a militant compound.
Security officials have confirmed the attack and the death toll.
Pakistan and the United States are at loggerheads over the continuation of drone strikes.
Islamabad sees the drone strikes as an infringement of its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Washington views them as a vital tool in the fight against Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants in the lawless tribal areas along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
