At least six people have been killed and one injured in an accident in the Rangpur city of Bangladesh, where a truck rammed a battery-run auto-rickshaw head-on in Panchagarh Sadar
upazila.
According to The Daily Star, the accident occurred near the Charmail area on the Panchagarh-Tentulia Highway.
Six auto-rickshaw passengers were killed on the spot, while one was critically injured, said police officials.
A five-year-old girl, who was severely injured in the accident, was immediately rushed to the Panchagarh Sadar Hospital for treatment, they said.
The truck driver involved in the mishap has escaped.
