Six people trapped in Ravi rescued in Jammu and Kashmir

The Civil Defense, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF in a collective operation rescued six people mainly labourers and truck operators trapped in Ravi River while collecting building materials in Kathua on Friday.

The people, trapped in flash floods, were rescued after an effort that lasted five hours.

After getting the information about the incident, rescue team from JK Police, Civil Defense and CRPF rushed to site and rescued the trapped driver and his assistants safely.

The flash floods were caused following the release of river waters from Madhopur Barrage without any prior information.
