At least six suspected loyalists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group have been killed by an airstrike carried out in Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province.

The Khaama Press quoted the Ministry of Defense (MoD) as saying on Thursday that the air strike was carried out in Pacher Agam district.

The defense ministry further said six loyalists of the terror group had also been wounded without giving further details.

Regular air strikes are being carried out by both the Afghan and American forces against the loyalists of the terror group in the districts of Nangarhar where ISIS fighters are conducting insurgency.

There has been no comment by the anti-government armed militant regarding the report so far.
