Paying tribute to scholar ideologue, and founder of Sindhudesh Movement Ghulam Murtaza Shah Syed, also known as G. M. Syed on his 114th birth anniversary, the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) organised a massive rally where they demanded freedom of Sindh from Pakistani occupation, the abolition of human rights abuses and religious fundamentalism.

Syed's birth anniversary is being observed in his hometown Sann.

The Pakistan state forces tried to sabotage the event.

Banners and flags of the Sindhudesh Movement were removed from Sann and surrounding villages and towns were raided. Political activists were asked to stop their activities.

The masses, however, defied the order and came out to celebrate Syed's anniversary.

The protestors also chanted slogans against the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

They said Pakistani forces were involved in enforced disappearances, extra judicial killings, rape and other atrocities.

"Pakistan is fooling China by dragging it into its strategic design for the makeup of Greater Punjabistan by promising China fulfillment of its long-sought strategic military aggression in the Indian Ocean. The CPEC project is the veil of this nefarious bilateral design," he said.

JSMM activists led by Senior Vice Chairman Lala Aslam Pathan, Vice Chairman Shabir Mallah, Secretary General Dr. Zain Bhutto visited the mausoleum of G.M. Syed and killed JSMM leaders Muzafar Bhutto, Rooplo Cholyani, Muneer Cholyani, Afzal Panhwer and Anees Soomro, laid floral wreaths and recited national anthem of Sindhudesh.

The families of missing and killed JSMM activists also participated in the rally.

Exiled JSMM Chairman Shafi Burfat delivered an audio message to the gathering

He saluted the contribution of Syed and highlighted the ongoing brutal operation of Pakistan security forces in Sindh.

He condemned Pakistani designs of radicalising the secular Sindhi society by establishing wide web of religious schools patronised by the Pakistani military, forced exodus of Sindhi Hindus, forced conversions and marriages of Sindhi Hindu girls, economic exploitation and political subjugation of Sindh.

He criticised Pakistani military establishment for patronising religious extremism and terrorism and sponsoring in India and Afghanistan.

"Pakistan is the womb and vector of Islamic extremism. Its unnatural existence is a serious threat to world peace. This irresponsible and fragile theocratic state is developing nuclear arsenals which are no less dangerous than North Korean nukes and will eventually lead to the destruction of the world one day. The world should take serious notice of Pakistani sponsorship of global jihadism and persecution/genocide of secular Sindhi, Baloch and Pashtun people" Burfat added.

He appealed to the Sindhi nation to act seriously and responsibly and to stand up for their freedom from this "filthy theocratic state".

He also appealed the UNO, International community, especially USA, Germany, France, UK and India to demolish Pakistan for the sake of humanity, regional and global peace.
