NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden is living under guard in Russia, where he has been granted temporary asylum, according to his lawyer Anatoly Kucherena.
Kucherena said that Snowden is able to travel incognito and is expecting family visits adding that no one is told his place of residence.
According to metro.co.uk, his lawyer said that as per Snowden's request, his location is not revealed as he poses a great level of danger after revealing classified US secret intelligence programmes.
The lawyer added that Snowden had security guards, but did not explain whether they come from Russia's security forces.
Kucherena further revealed that Snowden is able to travel incognito and he travels because he is interested in the Russian history.
Snowden has been charged with espionage for leaking classified US intelligence data on surveillance programmes.
