Karl Marx admirer Jeremy Corbyn has been elected leader of Labour party in Britain that is in opposition.
According to The Huffington Post, supporters of Corbyn greeted him with cheers and radicals hailed his victory across Europe.
Corbyn's triumph opened up the prospect of deep splits within Labour party with some fearing he will repel voters with radical policies that include unilateral nuclear disarmament, nationalization and wealth taxes.
His victory reflects growing popular support for left-wing movements across Europe, with Syriza taking power in Greece and Spain's anti-austerity party Podemos performing well in opinion polls.
