Sodexo has announced partnership with Grofers, the online grocery delivery service company.
Under the innovative solution partnership, Sodexo has launched an IVR-based payment option that will enable its meal card users to pay for groceries and other food items on delivery.
Grofers already accepts Sodexo vouchers on delivery, and this collaboration will enable digital acceptance as well.
With the paucity of time, home delivery of food and groceries has become increasingly popular. Sodexo has three million daily consumers who use the meal benefit to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages. As more and more companies migrate from vouchers to cards, such innovative solutions will be in great demand wherein the need for cash is further minimized.
"This partnership with Grofers will help our three million daily users to buy food and non- alcoholic beverages with complete security and also enable hassle-free ordering," said CEO Sodexo BRS India, Stephane Michelin.
"Sodexo and Grofers have immense synergies catering to a similar audience. Meal vouchers from Sodexo are already a part of two percent of our total orders per month. This partnership will help us get new customers on-board for both the businesses," explained co-founder Grofers, Albinder Dhindsa.
When the consumer opts to pay by the Sodexo Meal card on delivery, all they need to do is dial the IVR and enter their card details. As an introductory offer, first-time users on Grofers can avail up to 20 percent cashback on their order.
