Sofia Vergara has been involved in a legal battle with ex-fiance Nick Loeb over two frozen embryos that the couple had produced together. While Loeb wants to keep the embryos, the 'Modern Family' actor wants to destroy them.
Commenting on the controversy, sources close to Sofia stated that the issue has nothing to do with wanting to bring another life into the world and that Loeb is only doing this for revenge, reported TMZ.
Pointed out that Nick Loeb also has a daughter with another woman, the sources said that he is continuing to fight over the embryos even though his desire of becoming a father has been fulfilled.
Loeb has now moved the said lawsuit to Louisiana, a state that is known for being strongly pro-life and considers embryos as human beings. However, for Loeb to legally sue Sofia in Louisiana, he has to be a resident of the state.
To solve this complication, the sources claimed that Loeb, who is a resident of California, now claims that he lives in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. He has also started a trust fund for the embryos called 'Emma and Isabella' in the state.

The sources, however, revealed that Loeb never stays at the home, and is only using the address as a front, hoping that it would work in his favour.
Loeb's attorneys clarified that his client has a rented place in the area, is a registered voter of the state and also has a Louisiana driver's license. However, they maintained silence when asked how often he stays at the property.
Sofia Vergara tied the knot with Joe Manganiello in November 2015. The 'Magic Mike' actor asked Vergara to marry him on Christmas Day 2014 after nearly six months of dating.
