Soha Ali Khan announces India's Spell Bee Champ 2014

Soha Ali Khan was recently spotted at the Classmate Spell Bee 2014 event to announce the winner of the championship.

At the spelling bee event, Anagha Sethuraman of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School was declared the winner by the 'Rang De Basanti' actress, and Saumya Malhotra of Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, Delhi was named the first runner up.

The National Finals of Classmate Spell Bee 2014, which was organized by ITC Classmate in collaboration with Radio Mirchi, saw a grueling competition between the top 16 spellers of India in the search for the National Spell Bee Champion.

Speaking about the competition, Chand Das, Chief Executive of ITC's Education and Stationery Products Business said that the theme of this season of Classmate Spell Bee is, "Every child is unique and so is every word".

 

The National Finals will be telecast on The Discovery Channel, Discovery Kids and Discovery Tamil pan India and the champion will win a grand prize of Rs. 2, 00,000/- apart from the opportunity to witness the prestigious Scripps National Spelling Bee 2014 in Washington D.C., U.S.A.
