Tottenham has recorded their first Premier League home victory in more than two months now after beating Stoke with 3-0 with a Roberto Soldado's penalty and fine second-half strikes from Mousa Dembele and Aaron Lennon.

Tim Sherwood claimed his first home victory since being appointed Tottenham Hotspur boss and lifted Tottenham above Newcastle, who had lost at home to Arsenal earlier in the day, into seventh place, Sport24 reports.

Tottenham were far better and managed to keep a clean sheet in the league for the first time since November 3.
