Delhi Police on Thursday said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Somnath Bharti has in all probability been located and is playing the game of hide and seek by frequently changing his location just like a professional criminal.
"We have a rough idea about his location. He(Somnath Bharti) is behaving like a professional criminal and playing hide and seek. He is frequently changing locations and behaving just like a professional criminal, but I am very much sure, we will make him join the investigation soon," Joint Commissioner of Police,(Southwest) Deependra Pathak said here.
"We are going through this case as per law and investigative procedure. We are taking all steps of professional investigation and will be successful," Pathak added.
Bharti, who is involved in a domestic violence case, has moved the Supreme Court seeking protection from the arrest after the Delhi High Court had rejected his anticipatory bail plea.
According to reports, Bharti has sought a direction that the Delhi Police be restrained from arresting him till his petition challenging the High Court order is decided.
The AAP MLA is facing a non-bailable warrant against him in a domestic violence and attempt to murder case filed by his wife, Lipika Mitra.
