Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday expressed shock and grief at the demise of media personality and the chairman of the Dainik Bhaskar group Ramesh Chandra Agarwal.
Paying rich tributes, Gandhi recalled the contribution of Agarwal in the field of media and social service.
"His death has created a void that will take a long time to fill-up," she said.
She also conveyed her heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved family, members of the Bhaskar Group and prayed that the departed soul rests in peace.
Earlier in the day, Agarwal passed away after a cardiac arrest. Agarwal was taken from Delhi to Ahmedabad this morning where he was admitted to the Apollo hospital and took his last breath.
