Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ashok Choudhary confirmed on Saturday that party president Sonia Gandhi and senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad would be attending the Janata Parivar's Mahagatbandhan rally in the state capital on Sunday.
"Tomorrow, Sonia Gandhi and Ghulam Nabi Azad will come to Patna for the Mahagatbandhan rally," Choudhary told ANI.
The August 30 "Swabhiman" rally of the grand RJD, JD-U, Congress and Samajwadi Party alliance, will see Sonia Gandhi sharing the dais with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad among others.
Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, however, may skip the rally.
According to JD-U sources, after Nitish Kumar had talked with Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and other senior Congress leaders, Sonia Gandhi agreed to attend Sunday's rally.
Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad are actively wooing supporters to make their rally a success.

The event will be their first big show of unity a year after the two leaders joined hands in a bid to defeat the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state.
Lalu said the "Swabhiman" rally of the grand alliance would be an answer to "Modi's arrogance and repeated insult to Bihar".
Modi has already addressed three "Parivartan" rallies in Muzaffarpur, Gaya and Saharsa ahead of the assembly polls.
He will speak at another rally in Bhagalpur on September 1.
