China's foreign minister Wang Li has said to the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry that China is "against all forms of cyber attacks and cyber terrorism" while the two discussed the Sony Pictures' hack.
According to the BBC, Wang did not respond directly to U.S. calls to control attacks by North Korea.
China is against any country or person using foreign infrastructure to launch a cyber attack on another country, said a statement posted by the Chinese minister.
The U.S. has accused North Korea of launching a cyber attack on Sony Pictures while North Korea rejects it.
U.S. President Barack Obama has said that the country is considering to put North Korea back on its list of terrorism sponsors.
