North Korea has warned the United States that's its "citadels" would be attacked and accused the government of being behind the creation of the movie The Interview.
According to CNN, North Korea dwarfed the cyber attack on Sony that led to the cancellation of the film's release.
North Korea also accused the U.S. President Barack Obama of calling for "symmetric counteraction".
According to a report on state-run KCNA, North Korea's toughest counteraction would be against "the whole U.S. mainland, the cesspool of terrorism".
The FBI earlier blamed North Korea for the cyber attack on Sony Pictures while Obama said that it was an act of "cybervandalism".
