Sony isn't dropping Dr. Luke, claim lawyers

Dr. Luke's lawyers have slammed the report that Sony Music is dropping the producer following his legal battle with Kesha.

The 29-year-old songstress sued Dr. Luke in 2014 for sexual assault and battery and sought to invalidate her recording contracts with him.

The 42-year-old music producer filed a countersuit, calling her allegations "defamatory" and tweeted that he didn't rape Kesha and never had sex with her, reports E! Online.

The 'Tik Tok' hit-maker's supporters have for months urged Sony Music to free Kesha.

It was reported that the company is expected to end its working relationship with Dr. Luke, so the singer can legally release music without him and do so ahead of his 2017 contract expiration.

But Luke's lawyers said in a statement, "Luke has an excellent relationship with Sony. His representatives are in regular contact with executives at the highest levels at Sony and this has never come up."

Sony has not commented on the issue yet.
