Microsoft owned video calling application Skype would soon be able to translate multi-lingual voice calls in 'near real-time'.

According to The Verge, Skype Translate lets one speak in their native language to another user who speaks a different language, with near real-time translation.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella showed off Skype Translator and said that they always wanted to cross the language boundary.

Microsoft's VP of Skype, Gurdeep Pall said that the Translator would be out in Beta version later this year.

Nadella added that the feature may not come free, but the feature is already efficient in translating English and German.
