Melsh Tours conducted yet another successful sports tour of young boys all
the way from South Africa and Namibia. The ten-day trip included the popular Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur besides the enchanting city of Gwalior.
The trip included visits to the Taj Mahal besides the streets of Old Delhi, while the fort of Gwalior was another highlight covered in the tour that showcased Indian culture, traditions, food and the local streets to the South Africans.
Something that captured the hearts of the spectators and the parents was the quote from the founder, Sohan Kadian "Cricket isn't just a sport for young boys. It's about the sweat in the hair and the blisters on the feet. It's the frozen spit on the chin and nausea in the gut. It's about throbbing calves and cramps at midnight that is strong enough to wake the dead. Cricket is all about having the desire to train and persevere until every muscle in the legs, brain and heart is turned to steel. And when you've finally forged hard enough, you will have become the best player you can be. And that's what this tour aims to achieve."
"This tour is ultimately going to be a stepping stone to our boy's successful future. Having played on a land of turning tracks, high competitive spirits, gratitude and culture, we found ourselves an invincible corner of discovery and knowledge and a gem of memories to cherish. Also, the experience of walking the streets of Old Delhi and tasting Indian food was once in a life time experience for most of us.
We've totally found value in what the kids and we parents received throughout this tour. We look forward to having more such visits in the future", is what one of the parents accompanying their child on tour said.
Both the teams gained a load of memories with pleasant smiles while displaying excellent performance throughout the tour. The best thing about the trip was students being able to learn from their wins and losses, getting along with their peers and interacting positively with their coaches and seniors, while experiencing the turning tracks of the sub-continent and facing the upcoming talent of young Indian boys they played with. It sure built sportsmanship spirits in them, irrespective whether they won or lost the game.
