'Spiderman: Homecoming' woos Indian audience, earns 30 crore at box office

It seems like Indian audiences are showing immense love to the friendly neighbuorhood hero Spider Man.

According to Box Office India, 'Spiderman: Homecoming' has done very well in its first weekend grossing around 30 crore nett including the paid previews on Thursday.

This is the highest weekend ever for a Spiderman film in India (three Days) and the film really picked up well on Saturday.

The movie easily outperformed both the Hindi films 'Mom' and 'Guest Iin London' put together and is looking set to emerge the highest grossing Spiderman film ever in India.

The weekend collections of 'Spiderman: Homecoming' are as follows:

Thursday - Rs. 2,00,00,000

 

Friday - Rs. 6,75,00,000

Saturday - Rs. 10,00,00,000

Sunday - Rs. 11,50,00,000 approx

Grand Total - Rs. 30,25,00,000

Spider-Man has always been a popular character in India. Three of the top ten Hollywood films of all time in India are Spider-Man films are 2007's 'Spider-Man 3' is at number seven on the list, while 2012's 'The Amazing Spider-Man' is at number nine and its sequel, 2014's 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2', is at number 10.

'Spider-Man: Homecoming' had a great opening worldwide as the movie opened to 257 Million USD at global box-office.
