American golfer Jordan Spieth admitted he is very far away from becoming the top-ranked player following his triumph at Australian Open.
Spieth upstaged world number one and defending champion Rory Mcilroy, who could only manage to finish joint 15th at two-over 286.
Talented rising star Spieth, runner -up at US Masters last April, fired a final-round 63 to win his first tournament of the year, outshining the world number one and number three to claim a six-shot victory at The Australian Open.
Spieth said that he is very far away from challenging for the world number one title as it would take a lot more to repeat the success in majors. He further said he has to win a major or two in order to significantly progress to the goal of being world number one, adding that he is aiming at Augusta Masters, which is scheduled to held in April next year, Sport24 reported.
According to him, he is currently at peak of his career and hopes to climb some more peaks.
