Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe on Saturday offered prayers at the Guruvayur Sreekrishna Temple in Kerala amid tight security arrangements.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by his wife Maithree and Sri Lankan Minister for Resettlement, Reconstruction and Hindu Religious Affairs D M Swaminathan.
He partook in the 'Thulabharam' ceremony, where a devotee is weighed against his offering, after which the chief priest of the temple gave him 'prasada'.
Prime Minister Wickramasinghe also offered prayers at the Mamiyoor Mahadeva temple in Guruvayur.
