Microsoft will reportedly bring the 'Start Menu' back in the second update to Windows 8.1, which is scheduled for August.

According to The Verge, Microsoft announced the return of the 'start menu' earlier this month. However they kept mum on the release time.

Microsoft's Terry Myerson, head of Windows and Xbox software, demonstrated what the, soon to return, Start Menu will look like.

The report added that it looks like a hybrid of the old Windows 7 Start Menu mixed in with some Windows 8 Live Tiles along one side.
