Parents of deceased model Reeva Steenkamp want to have a private meeting with their daughter's killer Oscar Pistorius, after the Paralympic runner was acquitted of her murder.
Barry and June Steenkamp, who had never met the champion athlete before he killed their beloved daughter, say that they are now ready to talk with him.
And Reeva's parents have talked about of their disbelief at the Judge's shock decision to acquit Pistorius of the premeditated murder their 29-year-old model daughter, instead finding him guilty of culpable homicide, Sky News reported.
Debate continues in South Africa about the verdict, which many legal experts say is wrong when it comes to interpretation of murder and whether the Blade Runner had the requisite intention of killing a person when he fired the fatal shots.
The Steenkamp family reacted, like much of the world, with shock when Judge Thokozile Masipa ruled that there was not enough evidence to find Pistorius guilty of murder.

Reeva's parents have revealed that they now want to meet Pistorius. June Steenkamp said that her daughter had died a horrible, painful and terrible death, and added that she cannot believe that they believe that it was an accident.
She also said that she really does not care what happens to Pistorius, as it's not going to change anything because her daughter is not going to come back as she is gone forever.
Meanwhile, Reeva's father Barry Steenkamp said that there is still something missing, and added that he thinks there was more to the whole story coming up to the actual shooting, the killing.
Reeva Steenkamp's relationship with Pistorius was only three months old when he shot and killed her in the toilet of his home in the early hours of Valentine's Day last year.
The Blade Runner insisted that he mistook her for an intruder when he fired the four shots into the locked toilet and this week the court accepted his version of events, the report added.
