Stanislas Wawrinka produced a stellar performance on Sunday as he cruised past world number one Novak Djokovic in a pulsating four-set thriller to claim his second Grand Slam title in the French Open.
Eighth seed Wawrinka magnificently recovered from a set down to beat Djokovic 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 in a grueling contest that lasted three hours and 12 minutes.
With the win, the Swiss tennis ace brought an end to Djokovic's 28-match winning streak and also thwarted the Serbian's hopes of securing the career Grand Slam.
