Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's meeting with the Council on Trade and Industry has commenced at his residence, 7 Race Course Road, here today to review steps to revive the economy.
Dr. Singh is expected to deliberate with India Inc on measures to correct the current account deficit (CAD), measures to revive industrial growth and depreciation of the rupee and its impact on trade and industry, the Prime Ministers Office (PMO) said.
The meeting between Dr. Singh and corporate bigwigs will also discuss skill development and ways of accelerating it.
Besides, development of industrial corridors : the Delhi - Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), the Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor (CBIC), and the Amritsar-Delhi-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (ADKIC) will also come up for deliberation during the meeting.
