In the ongoing Comic-Con International convention a clip from the upcoming 'Wonder Woman 1984' revealed that one of the lead characters, Steve Trevor is still alive.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the cast of Wonder Woman 1984 which included Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot who visited the convention also had Chris Pine (Steve Trevor) as their surprise guest.
Pine's appearance in the second film after his character's apparent death in the first 'Wonder Woman' movie surprised the audience. Even talk show host Aisha Tyler, who hosted the cast asked "What're you doing here, Chris?", further reported the Hollywood Reporter.
The movie is set in the 1980s. Jenkins who explained the setting of the upcoming movie stated, "It really was mankind at its best and worst. It was grand and wonderful with great music. At the same time, we were revealing the worst of us."
"I feel that she is us, more than most superheroes. People find themselves in Wonder Woman, in all genders, sizes, and disabilities. So staying very true to that original [vision from creator William Moulton] Marston - kind, giving, but powerful - she is everyone of us. That's what I care about," added Jenkins while describing the essence of Wonder Woman as a character.
Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to hit theatres on November 2, 2019.
