Stoke City has extended their unbeaten home league run to six games following their 2-1 win over Aston Villa at home in the Britannia Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League.
With the win, Stoke has moved to the tenth position on the league table, while Villa failed to prevent a third straight defeat.
According to the BBC, although Charlie Adams gave Stoke the lead when he latched on to a Peter Crouch knockdown before shooting in the 50th minute, however, Libor Kozak pounced on a poor headed backpass from Erik Pieters to slot in a Villa equaliser.
But Crouch scored the winner against his former club after he netted from close range in the 70th minute, although Villa went close to a second leveller when Stoke keeper Asmir Begovic tipped over a dipping Kozak strike, the report added.
