Stoke City is set to begin investigations after a pig's head was found in the locker of player Kenwyne Jones at its training ground.

According to the report by The Independent, another player Glenn Whelan reportedly carried out the prank.

Furious over the 'religiously offensive' prank, Jones smashed the windscreen of Whelan's car while his partner Kissa Abdullah, took out her anger via Twitter posts where she said that one needs to be sensitive to someone's religious beliefs and this prank was nowhere close to funny.

Abdullah said that the head was wrapped in Jones' clothes and Whelan is suspected to be behind the act.

Whelan was earlier suspected to have covered Michael Owen's car with eggs and flour ahead of his final home game for the club before retirement.

The club has ordered investigation in the matter and disciplinary actions will be taken against those responsible for any unacceptable behaviour as per the club's disciplinary procedures, the reports added.
