England all-rounder Ben Stokes has said that the impressive start that his side has got in the ongoing Ashes series feels like 'revenge'.
The hosts, who lost 5-0 in Australia in their 2013-14 tour Down Under, now head into the second Test at Lord's on the back of an impressive 169-victory over the visitors at Cardiff.
Stokes said that during the first game at Cardiff, when the Aussies were eight wickets down, he was thinking how his side felt when they were being beaten in every game in 2013-14, BBC reported.
The 24-year old said that it felt like revenge when Joe Root caught the catch in the first Ashes Test at Cardiff.
He also insisted that his side would win more games in the future if they continue playing in the manner that they are playing.
The two arch-rivals will lock horns with each other in the second Test at Lord's starting from Thursday.
