Australia's Samantha Stosur and Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic won the Wimbledon mixed doubles title on Sunday by beating Max Mirnyi and Chan Hao-ching in straight sets.

According to the BBC, Stosur, 30, and Zimonjic, 38, prevailed 6-4 6-2 in the final played on Centre Court.

Stosur had previously won the mixed doubles with American Bob Bryan.

Victory gave Zimonjic his fifth Grand Slam mixed doubles titles, but he had not before won at Wimbledon.

The 15th seeds broke the serve of Belarusian Mirnyi in the ninth game, with Zimonjic then serving out for the first set.

Taiwan's Chan, in her first Grand Slam final, then had to save four break points in her first service game of the second set, but Stosur and Zimonjic took a fifth opportunity.

And, when Chan was again broken, this time to love, Stosur served for the match, with a Zimonjic volley converting the second match point.
