Pakistan's hopes of roping in new cricket head coach suffered another blow after Australia's Stuart Law declined to take over the vacant position.
According to a Pakistan Cricket Board official, Law is committed with the Australian team as a batting coach and would not be available before September, the Dawn reported.
Pakistan have been looking for a new head coach after Waqar Younis stepped down from the role following a dismal World Twenty20 campaign in India last month.
The PCB constituted a two-man committee to conduct the search and shortlisted four foreigners for the role, which included Law.
Earlier this week, former England coach Peter Moores had also turned down the offer to coach Pakistan citing commitment issues.
Pakistan will next travel to England in July, where they play four Tests, one Twenty20 and five one-day internationals.
The PCB has been forced to host all their home series in the United Arab Emirates after a terrorist attack on a Sri Lanka team bus left six police officers and a driver dead, and several players and officials injured in March 2009.
