'Stunned' Moyes wanted to stay at home 'with blankets over head' following Man U defeat

Manchester United manager David Moyes has admitted that his club's 4-1 derby humiliation at the hands of neighbours and Premier League title rivals Manchester City last weekend had left him stunned and wanting to stay at home and not leave his bed.

According to the Mirror, even though Moyes said that he is quite experienced in the Premier League as he has managed a lot of games before, he felt like staying in bed, with the blankets over his head and did not want to come out of his home when United lost the match as he was stunned and shocked by the defeat.

However, Moyes felt that he and his players had been unfairly criticised despite losing two of his first five Premier League games in charge of United, although he admitted that the criticism was justified following United's shambolic performance at City last weekend.

According to Moyes, City showed a never-before side to them during the game, adding that United had a complete off day for which they lost the game.
