Star striker Luis Suarez scored twice in the second-half as Barcelona breezed past Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final at Camp Nou on Wednesday.
Atletico forward Fernando Torres netted a goal for his side in the 25th minute of the match before he was sent off by showing a red card,the Guardian reported.
After Barcelona failed to open their account in the first-half, Suarez provided his side with resistance as he smashed two goals in the 63rd and 74th minute of the match to give the hosts with a perfect finish.
Barcelona, which have now taken advantage, will play their second leg of the last eight at Vicente Calderon Stadium on April 14.
