Forward Luis Suarez netted a spectacular first-half brace as he helped Barcelona beat rivals Manchester City 2-1 in the first-leg of the Champions League last-16 tie at Etihad Stadium.
Uruguayan international Suarez put Barcelona ahead in the 16th minute before he scored again from close range following a Jordi Alba pass in the 30th minute to put Luis Enrique's men in command, the BBC reported.
Subsequently, star striker Sergio Aguero struck in the 69th minute for City, who finished the match with 10 men following a red card for Gael Clichy.
Barcelona and City will face again at the Nou Camp in the Champions League second-leg on 18 March.
