Subway India fetches Rs 51k by auctioning sandwich for charity

Fast food chain Subway has auctioned a sandwich for the first time in India for Rs 51,000 to help provide a better future for underprivileged kids.

According to Subway India, a West Delhi chain of the store started the auction at Rs 1,000 and the winning bid was placed by a businessman outbidding seven contenders.

Manush Sethi, owner of the new SUBWAY franchise, has donated the entire amount raised from the auction to the Child Rights and You (CRY) foundation.
