Legendary American boxer Sugar Ray Leonard has revealed that the biggest battle of his life was outside the ring, with alcohol and drugs.
The American boxer, who won Olympic gold and world titles and beat fellow greats like Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran and Marvin Hagler, battled booze and drugs after his quick rise to fame in his late teens.
According to the Mirror, Leonard said that his fight out of the ring was harder than any of his fights in the ring, indicating that he struggled hard to rise above those addictions during the early phase of his career.
The boxing legend is set to work on new film 'Hands of Stone' with Robert De Niro and singer Usher who will play the boxer, the report added.
